Want to know about intel processor?

hi friends, am vinay from india. i planed to buy a laptop. I am little bit confused about the intel processor. PLZ any one tell me what is dual core, core 2 duo and Pentium T4500. I like to know the difference and tell me which one is the best. I will install .net and SQL server. Thanks in advance.
