SQL - confused, someone help please!?

I have an exam 2moro on information systems and we are doing some SQL. Im really confused here because some places I see things writen like "SELECT Movie.Title FROM Movie....." and other places i see "SELECT Title FROM Movie....." Will i get it wrong if I use the dot? Why does it have no dot everywhere (including the answers for a sample exam) yet in the lecture notes, it has dots....
