Do I need SQL server?

For three months my computer is trying to installl one Windows update (for SQL server - KB2463332) and every day - failed. As my knowledge about computers is zero - I have no idea do I need that SQL server (I never installed it - probably came with computer) and maybe I dont need that update too. I have Windows 7 and I am using computer for internet (browsing with Firefox), Google earth, writing some things (using word and excel) and listening music from youtube. So can somebody please help me - how can I put that update out or hide or stop - that does not bother me every day at least half an hour and cant be installed anyway and I am spending my time to figure out what is SQL server - but cant understand that technical language and how those updates works, etc... Maybe is a bit confused my question - just to make it simple - How can I get rid of one update which I dont want and Windows thinks that is very important. Three month failed installation!
